But Kayaköy has another reality: It can be one of the hottest, stoniest and most shadeless trips of Fethiye. If you go at the wrong hour, it turns into “survival in heat” rather than a “cultural tour”. If you go at the right hour, it becomes incredibly enjoyable.

Kayaköy is a slope settlement. Stone ground absorbs sun. Shade is scarce in summer. That's why timing is everything.

Do not go between 12:00–16:00 in July–August. Stones raise heat, photo light becomes very harsh.

Morning (around 09:00): Air is cool, crowd is less.

Two Entrance Gates
