Turkey is huge. Going from Istanbul to Antalya is like London to Berlin. Choose your mode wisely.
1. Coaches (Otobüs)
Turkish coaches are luxury liners. Pamukkale, Kamil Koç, Metro. They have steward service (tea/coffee/cake served to your seat), screens, and Wi-Fi. It takes long (10+ hours), but it's very comfortable and cheap.
2. Flights
Pegasus and Turkish Airlines (AnadoluJet) connect everywhere. A 1-hour flight saves you 12 hours of driving. Prices are often surprisingly low (£30-£50) if booked in advance.
3. Trains (YHT)
High-Speed Trains (YHT) connect Istanbul -> Ankara -> Konya. They are fast, sleek, and cheap. Unfortunately, they don't go to the holiday coasts (Antalya/Bodrum/Marmaris) yet.
